New York, NY – September 16, 2003 -
Cobite announced today the
immediate availability of a cross vendor analysis module to complement
the existing cellular optimization
component of the eXprts™ Telecom Financial Management system.
Building on its strength of helping organizations reduce their
cellular spend by optimizing rate plans, the new module allows
organizations to perform “what if” scenarios across
multiple wireless vendors.
“With the impending November 24th deadline for wireless
number portability, the last remaining barrier to switching providers
is eradicated,” states Robert Lippman, President of Cobite. “Organizations
are now able to switch between carriers while maintaining their
existing cellular phone numbers.”
The new module will allow an organization to evaluate its actual
current usage against rate plans from all major carriers. The analysis
displays usage costs for the current vendor(s) and what the costs
would be with competing vendors. As part of the study, rate plan
optimization also occurs to show usage costs if all end users had
been on a “best fit” plan and whether it should be
a shared or individual plan.
The final aspect of the cell phone system is to perform invoice
validation against contracts to insure corporate discounts are
applied accurately and rate plan usage was correct.
Cobite offers the eXprts™ system as a hosted application
or licensed to be run in-house. Additionally, Cobite offers services
to assist organizations in performing rate plan changes to gain
the substantial savings in a short time period with minimal company
overhead. The eXprts™ system is capable of handling pagers,
landline, LD and local vendors as well as cellular. The system
allocates costs back to consuming divisions, departments or individuals.
