COMPANY "A" -
This enterprise is a large provider of security systems in the
United States and internationally. They contracted with COBITE
for a one-time optimization for approximately 9,100 of their
14,000 cell phones. All devices were from Nextel and had been
previously optimized by the vendor. COBITE reviewed three months
worth of data for the phones and came up with numerous interesting
results.

Although the phones had been optimized,
we were able to reduce monthly spend by 24%, from $661,283 to
$500,577 by optimizing to “best fit” plans across
the enterprise. |

We were able to identify almost
8,000 hours of calls from cell phones to company internal 800
numbers. By eliminating these 800 numbers and utilizing POTS
lines, the company saved over $25,000 per month. |

We identified 975 phones with zero
usage for 3 months. 530 of these devices were on plans ranging
from $29.99 to $119.99. By putting these devices on a hibernation
plan, we were able to save an additional $28,600 per month. |

In total, the company was able to realize hard dollar
savings of over $214,000 on a monthly basis. In addition, we were
able to deliver reports to vice presidents, regional managers and
employees on a monthly basis. This allowed the people who are charged-back
for these expenses to be more proactive in managing the costs. Return
on investment was over 1175%. |
